Trenchless Pipe Relining & Pipe Lining - Why Hire USA Plumbing & Trenchless?
USA Plumbing & Trenchless is a family-owned and operated business with more than 20 years of experience serving the Broward area. We do all of our lining work in-house, so you never have to worry about the people doing work around your home. Our goal with this technique is to minimize disruption to your property. We accomplish this with advanced diagnostic equipment and our proven Broward trenchless pipe lining technique.
How Our Broward Pipe Relining & Pipe Lining Process Works:
- ✓ #1: Video Diagnosis - We run a long scope through your sewer lines to assess defects and pinpoint problem areas. We'll look at all your lines and let you know what's causing the problem before offering a solution
- ✓ #2: Clearing the Pipes - We use high-pressure water or a pneumatic tool to clear out blockages, roots, and calcification. This brings the pipe back to its original diameter, ready for the new liner
- ✓ #3: Install and Cure the Pipe Liner - Epoxy lining is pulled into place. A bladder is inflated to push the lining material against the diameter of the pipe to keep the lining secure while it cures. Once cured, the bladder is deflated and removed - the result is perfect, like-new pipes
- ✓ 50-Year Lifespan - The new pipe installed within the old pipe has a lifespan of 50 years - almost double the lifespan of some other materials. The cured epoxy will stand alone with impressive structural integrity
- ✓ ~40% Savings vs Traditional Replacement - Compared to sewer line replacement with traditional materials, you can expect to save approximately 40%. Plus the job is faster and you won't have to pay to repair your lawn or flooring because there's no disruption
CIPP: Cured-in-Place Pipe Lining
CIPP - cured-in-place pipe - is the trenchless pipe lining method behind every relining job we run. A felt or fiberglass liner is saturated with two-part epoxy resin, pulled or inverted into the damaged pipe through an existing cleanout, then pressed tight against the host pipe wall by an inflatable bladder. The resin cures in place in two to four hours; when the bladder comes out, what is left is a seamless, jointless pipe formed inside the old one - no couplings, and no open joints where roots used to find their way in. Because the new wall is smooth epoxy rather than scaled cast iron or offset clay, flow usually improves even though the inside diameter is marginally smaller.
Trenchless pipe lining in Broward is done entirely through the access points your plumbing already has, which is why the yard, driveway and slab stay exactly where they are. The same CIPP process covers sewer pipe lining, drain pipe lining and lateral repairs - and it is the reason a job that used to mean a week of excavation now finishes in a day.
Cast Iron Pipe Lining in Older Broward Homes
Most South Florida housing stock built before the 1970s was plumbed in cast iron, and after fifty-plus years in damp, sandy soil the inside of those pipes is scaled, pitted and losing wall thickness from the bottom up. The usual symptoms are slow drains, repeat backups and rust staining at the floor line. Replacing cast iron under a slab means cutting concrete, working room by room through finished floors, then putting the house back together - the demolition and restoration routinely cost more than the plumbing itself.
Epoxy lining the cast iron instead seals the cracks and pinholes from the inside and leaves a smooth, non-corroding wall behind, with no slab work and nobody moving out for a week. Cast iron is one of the materials we line every week, alongside clay, Orangeburg, concrete and PVC. If the camera shows the cast iron has collapsed or lost its round shape, lining is no longer viable - at that point we quote cast iron pipe repair or replacement rather than sell you a liner that will not hold.
Roots in the Pipe - A Top Reason Broward Homes Need Pipe Relining
Root intrusion into a pipe can be costly. Worst of all, there is hardly any warning that this sort of blockage is imminent. We've encountered situations on both residential and commercial properties where root intrusion was an unexpected and unwelcome surprise. Roots are capable of growing in any direction to great distances, and all it takes is one tiny hole to render a sewer pipe unusable.
It doesn't matter if your sewer pipe is made out of PVC, clay, or cast iron - it is still vulnerable to Mother Nature's encroachment. Once the new "pipe" is cured, all of the cracks, holes, and other compromised areas on the old pipe are entirely eliminated. The resin is also smooth, so roots won't have anywhere to penetrate. If roots are the enemy, Broward trenchless pipe lining technology is a nuclear bomb.
Pipe too far gone to line? A collapsed or badly deformed line will not hold a liner. See trenchless pipe repair and replacement for the no-dig options that replace the pipe instead of relining it.
Rusty water or weak pressure instead of a slow drain? Lining rehabilitates drain lines. Those symptoms come from the water supply side, which is replaced rather than lined - see whole house repiping in South Florida. We do both.
Pipe Relining & Pipe Lining - Frequently Asked Questions
Yes - pipe relining and pipe lining are the same trenchless repair, also called CIPP. A resin-saturated epoxy liner is installed inside your existing sewer pipe and cured in place, creating a new, seamless pipe inside the old one with no digging.
CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) relining is a trenchless pipe repair method. A felt liner is saturated with epoxy resin, inserted into the damaged pipe through an existing cleanout, then inflated and cured in place. The result is a seamless, jointless new pipe inside the old one - no excavation required.
USA Plumbing & Trenchless relines cast iron, PVC, clay, Orangeburg, concrete, and Schedule 40 pipes ranging from 2 to 12 inches in diameter. As long as the host pipe holds its shape and a camera can pass through, pipe relining is usually viable. Fully collapsed pipes require pipe bursting instead.
CIPP epoxy liners are manufacturer-rated for 50 years and tested to perform for 100+ years in non-pressurized sewer applications. The liner is non-corrosive, root-resistant, and has a smoother interior than the original pipe - so flow capacity actually improves after relining.
Most residential pipe relining jobs are completed in a single day - typically 4 to 8 hours from arrival to walk-out. The liner cures in 2 to 4 hours depending on length and resin type. You're back on full plumbing service the same day.
CIPP pipe relining saves roughly 40% against digging up and replacing the pipe. The spread runs 30-50% depending on how deep the line sits and how much landscape, driveway, and hardscape a dig would have to put back afterwards.
